A Whole Lot Of Wire Wrapping Going On Here!

When I was staring at this piece of wire last weekend I decided to make a teardrop shape.  But it was lacking something.  So I got my super fine copper wire and started wrapping.  I wrapped tiny sterling silver beads around the outside of the earrings.  Then I wrapped the copper beads around the inside of the earrings.  I oxidized these earrings for that old rustic look and then tumbled them to strengthen the wire and to polish them.  Here's the masterpiece!  You can click on the picture and it will take you to the listing.

I have to say, it sure feels good to be working in my bead room again!  It's been about 3 to 4 years that I had to put my designing on hold.  But since I retired last November I've had time to get my house back in order and now I can work in my bead room again!  Yeah!

I have quite a collection of gemstones and I find it hard to part with these beauties but on occasion I will make something with them and list them in my Etsy shop.  This pair of earrings started with a thick piece of sterling silver wire that I formed into a G shape.  I hammered the wire to give it some texture.  It was then put it into a tumbler to strengthen the wire and to polish it.  I took a very fine sterling silver wire and wire wrapped tourmaline gemstones in a variety of colors and tiny sterling beads around the wire.  I left these earrings a bright silver to show off the brilliant colors of the stones.

Good Morning!

I'm back!  I know it's been a while since I've posted, but since I retired for good now I have more time.  I've even started back to making the lovely things I enjoy to make.  With that being said...I will be posting new items here as I post to my Etsy Shop.

So much has happened in my life in the past several years.  Like I said, I did retire for good this time.  I finally made that golden year where social security will kick in, IF there's any left.  LOL!  Honestly I will be getting social security next month.  Yeah!  Never thought I'd get to this point in my life.  WOW, I'm old!

We've taken several trips recently.  We have joined a great group of friends and we do travel in style!  :-)  Since last July I've been to Denver several times, Dallas/Ft. Worth twice, Louisville, on a cruise to Cozumel, going to Houston in June, Vegas in July and another cruise to the Bahamas in Sept.  I LOVE my life!  I want to see the world and empty my bucket list, well if that's even possible.  I keep adding places to see to my bucket list!  LOL!

Hello!
I'm going to let you all in a little secret.  We are having Gorgeous weather right now!  It's been in the mid to upper 70's, but don't tell anyone!  Then everyone will want to move here!  LOL!  Little do they know though, in about four months the weather to turn to HOT!  Oh, but wait they say!  It's a dry heat.  Ya, right!!!  You feel like you live in an OVEN!!!  But it gets better!  Then it turns humid and then you think you are a sauna!  Lovely!!!  

Seriously, this is why everyone wants to move here.  We have really nice winters.  In fact our winters are about two to three weeks long and then we just have this gorgeous weather.  Hummm, is that why I live here?  Nope, family is here and I'm just plain stuck!  :( 

I have to share with you all another new listing.  It's a sterling silver and garnet gemstone sweater/shawl pin.  Just perfect for those of you who live in a colder climate and wear sweaters and shawls.  For those of us here in Arizona, what's that?  LOL!

New Listings

Hello Everyone!

It's been a while since I've been around. A lot has been going on. For one, I've started another business, a weight control clinic. I started not only one, but two. One in Gilbert here in the valley (Phoenix valley) and another one up in northern Arizona in Flagstaff. I go up to that one twice a month. With all the business, my jewelry has been on the back burner for a while. With all this going on, I've retired also from nursing. I just couldn't keep up anymore. (I think I'm getting old! LOL!) So I started my second, or maybe it's third career. :) I still get to help people get healthier as well as thinner in the process. What a deal huh? Can't beat that!

Now I do have some new listings I want to share with you. I have these listed in my Etsy shop and a few of these in my Artfire shop as well. This pair of lovely pink Czech glass and brass earrings are perfect for Valentine's Day coming.
