New Listings

Fall In Arizona

Fall is finally here in Arizona!  The leaves on our trees are turning fall colors and falling off the tree.  It's beautiful to see, but a mess to clean up.  We only have four trees that do this, the rest stay green all year long. Our average temps this time of year are usually in the mid 60's but it's been a lot warmer lately, more in the 70's.  In fact it was in the 80's on Thanksgiving.  It was nice!  Maybe this is why everyone wants to move here?  Well, if you can stand the long HOT summers then you will be awarded the beautiful winters we have here.

WOW! It's been a while!

Hello Everyone!

Can I say I've been a bit busy lately?  Honestly, I've been dealing with my husband and my mother and their health issues.  They both have back issues, similar in a way.  My husband has several old back injuries from playing football in high school and again in college.  But with his age now the added arthritis and the injury has caused many problems.  He actually got to the point where he couldn't walk on his left leg.  Had to use a cane in order to move around.  The low back and leg were always in pain.  They the leg started going numb and he couldn't use it.  Lost a lot of muscle tone.  So his doctors sent him to the pain specialist for epidural injections.  they ended up doing 4 of them, but not any better. 

Now, my mother is 87 years old.  She has the normal back issues of an 87 year old.  But she also has scoliosis that was never taken care of when she was a child.  So now she has that added problem and a lot of pain. 

So...I was taking my husband in for his back injections one day a week and then driving out to Scottsdale (an hour away from where I live) to take my mom in for her injections.  This went on for a month and a half.  Then in September my husband had surgery.  He's still recuperating but much, much better!!!  As for mom, she's doing better too.  The last injection really helped her.  But she's do for another one soon. 

Please take care of your back because as we age we will have arthritis and if you have an injury it will just get worse.  Take care of yourself and those around you that you love.  :-)

New Earrings!

I just love these petite earrings!  They are made with AAA quality peridot gemstones and a lot of sterling silver wire.  Very pretty!  The birthstone for August!  Or like myself, I have several peridot jewelry pieces since my anniversary is in August.  Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Busy Week!

What a week!!!   It started on Monday.  I took my mom in for a back procedure.  She's already had 3 sets of epidurals to her back and 3 hip injections.  On Monday I was at the surgical center in north Scottsdale for a new diagnostic procedure for her.  She's nearly 87 years old and honestly I don't think there's much more they can do for her. 

Then Tuesday was house cleaning and laundry and shopping, grocery and errands. Wednesday at another surgical center in Gilbert, AZ with my husband for his back procedure. He has spinal stenosis and if having a lot of difficulty with one leg and a lot of pain.  They have already done 2 epidurals on his back and they haven't worked for him either.  The next step is surgery.  So that's in the near future. 

Then on Thursday he wanted to see his parents and since he can't drive, back to Scottsdale to we went, and it's 48 miles one way from our house. Back over to mom's to check on her and meet with the young man who was working on her yard, and then back home, (an all day trip).  We were gone all day! 

Friday I thought I was going to create, but I met with my trainer in the morning and then started the laundry, which had gotten way behind this week.  Friday night I was FINALLY able to create. I need to take pictures of the items, BUT it's was cloudy and raining off and on Saturday.  It NEVER rains here!  Maybe tomorrow will be a good day.  It's still a bit cloudy here and I like to take my pictures on my patio.  Love that indirect lighting.
