With the economy the way it has become, we are finding more and more animals out on the street. These animals don't know how to fend for themselves. They've been some body's pet and taken care of. The shelters are becoming overcrowded very quickly. Our Maricopa County East Valley Shelter is the 2nd largest in the country, they take in 50,000 dogs & cats each year. Isn't this little guy here the cutest thing you ever saw? He and his little brother would love to go home with you. We have very close friends who have a passion for these lost or homeless animals in our community. Our friends, Cindy and Matt Vandiver, volunteer to take photographs of the adoptable dogs and cats to be used on the shelter's website, hoping that all will find a home. All of their prints start out as photographs of the shelter's dogs and cats which they transform them through the use of their digital paintbrush into colorful pop art prints. Read their stories. They also give 10% of each sale back to the shelter.

OMG! These little faces are so adorable! I sooooo wish I could take one home! It would be so hard to pick just one. That first photo is just haunting. You can see the pain in his eyes, just wanting to be loved. Great article! Thanks so much for sharing! Indeed shelters need our help! These animals need our help!

Thank you Eleanor and Cindy. It was hard to write. I want them all! It would be tough to go and take the pictures of them and then have to leave. I couldn't do it. I'm thankful people like Cindy and Matt can do this service in the hopes that the animals will be taken home.
These kind of stories always make me cry. I would love to take them all home!
